for lunch and dinner Robina used Chicken Kai Yang marinade mix from Asian Home Gourmet to marinade wings and drumlet since Friday. the chicken was grilled in oven at 190C. simple and delicious meal!

no Horlicks

Joyce discovered to her horror that there's no Horlicks to be found in Beijing, not even the expat supermarket. Luckily she later found Horlicks being served in Hong Kong style cafes (Cha Chaan Teng). I've not experience a Horlicks craving in years. even when back home in S'pore, I hardly ever sought after Horlicks in kopi tiam except occasional inspiration...
so like Ribena, we cannot find Horlicks in supermarkets here. come to think of it, have not seen Marmite or Bovril either...

Sally's busy week

Sally has been busy this week. Melissa brought Baby Karl over for Robina and Sally t babysit. Sally was frantic over the baby since babies smells so wonderful to dogs and Sally loves babies! but Robina managed to calm Sally down enough so that Sally can watch over the baby without planting wet kisses on the baby!
Robina bought a small sofa for Sally. relatively cheap at RMB350 (S$70) and its made to measure. Sally took to it immediately since her favourite passtime is to lounge on our bed, sofa or her own bed basket.
